Terms of Service

CreatInk is designed for K–12 educational use. Teachers and school administrators must be 18 or older to create accounts. Student accounts for users under 13 must be created by a teacher or school administrator. Use of the platform constitutes agreement to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

• New teacher accounts receive a 30-day free trial with full access to platform features.
• No credit card is required to start the free trial.
• At the end of the trial, continued access requires a paid subscription.
• We will notify you before your trial expires.

After the free trial, CreatInk subscriptions are billed as follows:

• Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically unless cancelled.
• School-wide plans are available — contact info@creatink.org for school pricing.
• Prices are in USD and subject to change with 30 days' notice.
• All billing is processed securely through Stripe.

• Refunds are available within 7 days of a billing charge if you have not made substantial use of the platform in that billing period.
• Trial periods are free — no charge is made during the 30-day trial.
• We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.
• To request a refund, contact info@creatink.org with your account email and the reason for the request.
• Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to the platform until the end of the paid period. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period unless the refund policy above applies.

You agree to use CreatInk only for lawful, educational purposes. You must not:

• Submit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or inappropriate for a K–12 environment.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or gain unauthorized access to the platform or other users' data.
• Use the platform to generate, distribute, or store content that violates any applicable law.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the platform without authorization.
• Share account credentials with unauthorized individuals.
• Use student data obtained through the platform for any purpose outside of the educational services provided.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these acceptable use standards.

Platform Content: All platform software, design, branding, AI models, prompts, and instructional content created by LearnConnex LLC are our exclusive intellectual property. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform content without written permission.

User Content: Student writing submissions and teacher-created materials remain the intellectual property of the user (or the school, as applicable). By using the platform, you grant LearnConnex LLC a limited, non-exclusive license to process and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

AI Feedback: AI-generated feedback and suggestions produced by the platform are provided for educational use. LearnConnex LLC does not claim ownership of student writing produced with AI assistance.

We comply with FERPA, COPPA, and applicable state student privacy laws. Student data is used solely to provide educational services and is never sold or used for advertising. Teachers and school administrators are responsible for obtaining any required parental consents before adding student accounts. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

CreatInk is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated feedback will be accurate or appropriate in every case. Teachers and educators remain responsible for reviewing AI feedback in the context of their students' needs.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LearnConnex LLC's liability for any claims arising from use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify account holders of material changes via email at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which LearnConnex LLC is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
