CreatInk Writing Studio is an AI-powered writing platform designed for K–12 students and educators, operated by LearnConnex LLC. • Account Information: Full name and email address of teachers, school administrators, and (where applicable) students.
• School Information: School name, district, and grade levels served.
• Student Writing Data: Writing submissions, prompt responses, drafts, and revision history created within the platform.
• Usage Data: Log data, feature usage, session duration, and device/browser information.
• Billing Information: Subscription and payment details (processed securely through Stripe; we do not store full card numbers).

CreatInk Writing Studio complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental or school consent.

• Student accounts for children under 13 are created and managed by teachers or school administrators, not by the students themselves.
• Schools and teachers act as intermediaries and provide consent on behalf of students under COPPA's "school official" exception.
• We collect only the minimum student data necessary to provide educational services.
• We do not use student data for advertising, behavioral profiling, or any non-educational purpose.
• Parents or guardians may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's data by contacting info@creatink.org.

• Service Providers: Trusted vendors (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing via Stripe) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
• AI Processing: Writing data may be processed by AI model providers solely to deliver in-platform feedback. These providers are prohibited from using student data for their own training or purposes.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users.
• School Administrators: Teachers and authorized school staff may view student writing activity within their accounts.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

• Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only.
• Regular security reviews and monitoring of our systems.
• Secure payment processing through Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant).

While we take security seriously, no system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting student data, we will notify affected schools and users as required by applicable law.

We retain account and writing data for as long as the account is active or as needed to provide services. Teachers and school administrators may delete student data within the platform. Upon account termination, we will delete or anonymize personal data within 90 days, unless retention is required by law.

• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of personal data.
• Opt out of non-essential communications.
